What course of action does your option recommend that the colonies

should pursue?

Option 1

My option suggests that the radicals who oppose the British should be stopped immediately if we are to continue receiving support from the mother nation. There is a necessity for maintaining peace between the children and the parent.  However, we should not be so naive as to think that there will not be consequences for insubordination. We must accept this chastisement and move on with our lives as English colonials. In order to pursue peace, we should make sure that all major colonial decisions are approved by both the Parliament and the Crown. We have no authority to ovverule Parliament's authority because we claim "we are only loyal to the king."Keeping to this course of action will prove most beneficial and profitable for our coolonies.

Option 2

My option recommends that the colonies should stick to being a part of Britain instead of becoming their own state. This option also suggests multiple options that the colonies could do to improve their relationship with Britain and the better the relationship between them, the more the colonies will benefit and have to win. By forming a British American council, with 1 rep from each colony and a president appointed by the king, and equal balance between the British and the Colonists would be made, and both sides would benefit.

Option 3

My option recommends that the colonists should go to arms and defend themselves for their rights because they are becoming a slave of an economical system.  They also say that they should follow the words of John Locke "No less than John Locke asserted that the citizens have the right to rise up when the government ceases to protect and promote thier God-given rights of life, liberty, and property."

Option 4

The course of action that my option recommends that the colonies pursue is to gain complete independence from Britain.  My option says to do this for many reasons.  First of all, independent colonies will be free of Britain’s senseless wars and will enjoy unrestricted trade relation with other nations of Europe.  Second of all, without the burdens of British imperial policy, American industry and commerce will be free to grow and prosper.  In addition, an independent America will be able to draw on the services of capable leaders ready for the responsible of self-government.  So, independence shall improve the colonists’ economy and independence will allow colonists to develop along the path that they set for themselves.
